Deck: 80 Cards
Backs: Non-reversable but with a big Pattern
Suits: Water, Fire, Earth and Air
Book: 144 pages

Book
The Leonardo da Vinci Enigma Set comes with a fully illustrated book. Each Card is accompanied with a small photo, a bit of information on which sketch has been selected, a question called a Dimmi and meanings for both upright, reversed and disconnected cards.
It also offers some interesting spreads, the most notably the Destiny Spread which makes use of the special art on the Card backs. A huge pattern is printed on all of the Card backs making it possible to connect all the Cards in one big pattern. Two extra cards are included, one with the full Pattern as seen from the back and one with the full pattern as seen from the front. When drawing cards for this spread you first try to connect the backs together. Creating patterns, sets and disconnected cards which are all read in different ways. This is a quite innovative and interesting way to read the Cards and in my Tarot practice has led to excellent Readings, although it requires a lot of understanding of the Cards. The Reader must be able to name the Sets and connect them in a comprehensive way towards the Question and the other Sets

Art
For each of the Cards a sketch from Leonardo Da Vinci has been selected accompanied by the card name and a keyword. This means that most of the Cards are in sepia or grey tones. One of the big disadvantages is that not all the art is the same size, so some of the Cards have more white in them then others. This disrupts the unity of the deck to some extent One of the other drawbacks is the fact that all court cards show different portraits but very little other symbolism.

Readability
This deck is excellent to read with especially for beginning Readers, because of the information in the book. One of its drawbacks is the fact that some of the cards don\'t show much symbolism so it might be hard for intuitive Readers to get the most out of this deck. However if you are willing to look up things in the book your readings will get an added layer of information.

Conclusion
An excellent deck to have for a beginning Reader who wants more information with their decks or for a Reader who prefers larger spreads.
