The Epinal Tarot was first published in 1830 by the printers Pellerin, a well-established name in the printing business since 1796. Part of the family of "Becanson" decks, this deck differs from the traditional Tarot of Marseille by the substitution of the Pope and Papess with Jove (Jupiter) and Juno, respectively.
