This is visually a striking deck. The major arcana of The Tarot of Eden is rich with lush images. The borders are gold and the colors are sumptuous. The cards are on the larger side, which showcases the artwork nicely. While the backs are gorgeous, they are not reversible. In fact, the author advises not to reverse cards. This might be a slight hitch for those who use reversals in their readings. They have a comfortable thickness and feel. The deck is housed in a sturdy plastic case and accompanied by the companion book.

It states on the back of the box, “All the realms of nature are present: minerals, plants, animals and human beings. A symbol of universal harmony, Eden implies a fruitful partnership among different life forms on earth.” The Tarot of Eden does a remarkable job of integrating all these elements in a seamless and cohesive way. The Majors and courts flow well together. My favorites being The Popess, The Empress, The Hermit, The Star and Judgement. My biggest complaint about this deck is the way in which the minors are presented. They are pips, however they do not hold the same energy or intensity as the rest of the deck. Their inclusion almost feels as if they were an afterthought.

The majors generally follow suit with RWS, with a few exceptions. Justice is card VIII and strength is XI. The Magician, The High Priestess, The Heirophant, The Lovers, Death and The Tower have been renamed to The Bateleur, The Popess, The Pope, The Lover, The Card with no Name and The House of God respectively. The suits are swords, coins, cups and wands. Swords are associated with the element of fire.

I found the book to be useful. The majors are given a description of the painting, a general meaning, what the card might indicate in a reading, how it pertains to one’s career, and how to use it for personal development. The court cards are given a description and general meaning, while the pips are simply given general meanings.
There are a number of interesting spreads including a birthday, card of the day, and cross.

This deck would be fantastic for anyone looking for a multicultural deck. If you would like to focus on majors only, this deck would work for you as well.

Improved and enhanced edition of the former known \"Zukunftstarot\". The golden borders of the Eden tarot match much better the wonderful lush pictures of the Eden tarot.

Feel yourself drawn into a world of fantastical creatures as depicted on the Majors and Court cards. Minors follow pip pattern.

The cards are larger than average tarot cards and have a nice matte finish, agreable to shuffle.

A wonderful deck both for readers and collectors.
